Hello Friends!
How are we all doing? I am writing this on Labor Day Weekend which always feels a little bit melancholy and a little bit exciting at the same time. It is hard to deny that a change in weather and rhythms is close by. We are now in Late Summer season, Earth Element energy. It is harvest time! I have heard from many people that August was a big, busy month. It was for me too, so I am enjoying a quiet weekend to process the impressions of my Summer. What have I learned and grown that will sustain me in the next months?
My friend Whitney Artell, took this photo of me one night in June as I couldn't resist taking in the scent of milkweed blossoms we were passing by. I especially like that this moment took place at night when coolness returns and the feminine or Yin energy takes over--everything feels more mysterious, more possible. The night pollinators are out, like bats and moths, doing their part under the softer influence of the moon. Doing some research, I learned their role in the ecology has been overlooked. Until recently, researchers only collected data about pollination during the day when birds, bees and butterflies are active. This is a good reminder that there is a lot of important work we do in the Yin seasons of the year that we may overlook because it is less obvious. We need to adjust our way of perceiving as we enter Fall so we don't miss the beauty and potency of the feminine. I believe this happens naturally and gradually, but it doesn't hurt to be a little more aware of any resistance we may be setting up.

I pulled a Tarot card for September for the Shamanic Fire Reiki community. I have taken several courses with Irma and love to join their seasonal drum circles. You can read my September message here and check out their offerings on their website linked above.

If you are new to Community Reiki, 30-minute in-person sessions are booked ahead and are on a sliding scale from $40-$60 or $25 with an EBT card. The location is in Williamsburg at Grand Street Healing Project.

Tarot Tuesday is my weekly Tarot space for walk-in 30-minute sessions. It takes place at Maha Rose 3:30-5:30. (You can book ahead as well).

Private sessions for Reiki, Tarot and Flower Essence Therapy are always available for booking in Williamsburg (GSHP) or Carroll Gardens (Maha Rose) as well as virtually.
